The truth about floors

By the time floor rust shows at the carpet edge, the metal below is gone: pans rot from the underside where mud packs against braces, sills fill with debris through open drains, and seat and belt anchors end up held by rust scale. Floor repair is structural work — your seats, seatbelts and body mounts depend on it.

Installation

Brace door apertures before cutting; remove old steel back to solid metal; keep or replace cross-braces in the same operation; plug-weld at factory spacing; seal both faces and underseal. Follow factory reinforcement layouts exactly where seat-belt anchors land in the repair.

Can I fit a floor without welding?

No — floors and sills are welded structure on every platform we cover. If you don't weld, this is a job for a professional shop; the panel cost is the small part of the equation.
