Why specialty panels matter

Judges and buyers look where restorers got tired: under the dash, behind the seats, inside the tank cover. These small pressings are usually pitted, hacked for aftermarket radios or missing entirely — and hand-forming them costs more shop time than the parts cost here.

Fitting

Most install with screws or light welds in protected areas, so finish quality is the whole game: trial-fit, transfer captive nuts and clips, prime and paint before assembly — these panels are seen from arm's length.

Are dash panels drive-side specific?

Yes — LHD and RHD differ and are listed separately where applicable.

My original has extra holes — will the new panel?

New pressings carry factory holes only; previous owners' radio and switch holes stay in the past.
